Frequently Asked Questions

Entering

How do I enter?

Pick how many tickets you want, answer the skill question, and pay in USDC or USDT. Answer correctly and your tickets are issued and you go into the draw.

What is the skill question?

A question testing your knowledge of watches. It is deliberately not easy, and a significant proportion of people get it wrong. Only entrants who answer correctly receive a ticket and go forward to the draw. Answer incorrectly and no ticket is issued and no payment is taken.

Why is there a skill question?

Because Drawby is a prize competition, not a lottery. The skill element is what makes it one. It is a real filter, not a formality.

How many attempts do I get?

Two. If your first answer is wrong you get a second, different question. If that one is wrong too, you are locked out of that competition and cannot enter it from any wallet. You can enter the next competition as normal.

Can I look the answer up?

Nothing stops you doing your own research before you answer. What you cannot do is share or publish answers, or use automation to answer. Both void your entries.

Who can enter?

Anyone aged 18 or over, with the legal capacity to enter a contract, who is not in a restricted country and not subject to sanctions.

Which countries are excluded?

We do not accept entries from the United States or the United Kingdom, or from sanctioned jurisdictions. The full list is in section 4 of our Terms.

It is your responsibility not to enter from a restricted country. We may block access by IP address, and we verify location when a prize is claimed. Using a VPN to conceal your location voids your entry and any prize.

How many tickets can I buy?

Each competition has a per-entrant limit, shown on that competition's page. Using multiple wallets to exceed it voids your entries.

Paying

What can I pay with?

USDC or USDT on the Ethereum network. Our competition contract address is published in the footer of every page, so you can inspect it on Etherscan. Always check the address before you approve a transaction.

What are gas fees?

Ethereum charges a fee to process your transaction. It goes to the network, not to us, it varies with how busy the network is, and it is not refundable.

Do I need a crypto wallet?

Yes, holding USDC or USDT on Ethereum. We never ask for your seed phrase or private keys, and we cannot recover a wallet you have lost access to.

Can I get a refund?

Only if we cancel a competition, in which case every ticket is refunded in full to the wallet it came from within 7 business days. Otherwise entries are final once the transaction confirms on-chain.

The draw

How is the winner picked?

At random from everyone who answered the skill question correctly, using Chainlink VRF, an on-chain randomness source. Every draw's request and result are recorded on the Ethereum blockchain.

Can I verify the draw myself?

Yes. We publish the transaction hash for every draw, so you can look it up on Etherscan and check the randomness and the result. Nobody at Drawby can influence, predict or re-run the outcome.

When is the next draw?

Each competition shows its closing date on its page. The draw runs automatically when the tickets sell out or when the closing date arrives, whichever comes first.

What happens if you don't sell all the tickets?

We may extend the closing date, up to three times, announcing each extension on the page and by email to everyone entered. After the third extension we either run the draw with the tickets sold, or cancel and refund everyone. We say which before the revised closing date.

How many winners are there?

One watch winner per competition, plus any runner-up prizes stated on that competition's page.

What are my odds?

They depend on how many tickets you hold against the number sold. The total allocation is published before each competition opens. If a competition does not sell out, the odds improve for everyone entered.

Winning

How will I know if I've won?

The winning wallet is notified automatically as soon as the contract resolves, and by email if we hold an address for you. If the automatic notification fails, we contact the winner manually within 7 working days.

How long do I have to claim?

30 days from notification. If we cannot reach you after three documented attempts, we may re-draw the prize.

Do I have to verify my identity?

Only if the prize is worth more than USD 10,000. Verification is handled by Sumsub and needs government-issued photo ID and proof of address. It exists to confirm you are over 18, to meet anti-money-laundering rules, and to make sure the prize reaches the person who actually entered.

Is the watch genuine?

Yes. Every watch comes from an authorised dealer or a verified secondary-market source, with its documentation, accessories and manufacturer's warranty where one applies.

How is it delivered?

By UPS on a fully insured service, shipped from the United Kingdom, worldwide except to restricted jurisdictions and places where importing luxury goods is not permitted.

We aim to dispatch within 5 working days of a completed claim. If verification, sourcing or customs paperwork takes longer, we will tell you.

Will I have to pay import duty or tax?

Probably. Import duty, VAT and customs charges in your country are yours to pay, and on a watch of this value they can be substantial. Check the position where you live before you enter. Any tax on the prize itself is also your responsibility.

Can I take cash instead?

Yes. Every competition carries a cash alternative, shown on the competition page and paid in USDC to your wallet. You can take it for any reason, and we pay it automatically if we cannot ship to your location.

Trust and risk

Who runs Drawby?

Tidalwave Dynamics Limited, registered in Cyprus under company number HE 484196, registered office Agiou Andreou 3, Pallouriotissa, 1040 Nicosia, Cyprus.

Have your smart contracts been audited?

Not yet. The contracts are deployed on a public blockchain and can be inspected by anyone, and every draw is independently verifiable on Etherscan, but they have not been through a third-party security audit. We will publish the report here when that changes.

What are the risks?

Smart contracts can contain defects or be exploited, and blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. Entering is not an investment, and you should only spend what you are comfortable losing. Our Responsible Play page covers this in more detail.

How do I complain?

Email support@drawby.com with your wallet address, the competition, and what went wrong. We acknowledge within 3 business days and aim to resolve within 20.
